Out on patrol during a raid, our protagonists come upon a workshop overrun by both fire elementals and a cold snap freezing enchantment. They work to rescue people trapped atop the building and keep volatile materials from exploding. In the aftermath they discover the raid has damaged food supplies for the city, forcing more rationing and belt-tightening, even for them. But a sudden visitor arrives with gifts and clearly no hidden agendas...
