We flashback to a time when Pherdo the Monk, Sir Windermir the Paladin & Valeria the Warlock rescued a kidnapped merchant from cultists. His recommendation is what has brought them to the town of Gaelen, a prosperous trading centre at the uncertain boundary between The Kingdom and the Grimwilds. While Windemir demonstrates his fine voice, Pherdo and Valeria find themselves in an altercation with a local stall holder ... then the town watch intervenes, there's a pendant of concerning provenance, and their late-arriving friend 'The Bard' ... who finds a fan!
