December 31st 1998, Mobile, Alabama- we meet our protagonists as they gather for a grand New Year's Celebration for the four courts: Lanterns, Suns, Broken Shackles, and Mirrors. We see their paths cross and entanglements get messy right away. But when the hour turns midnight, a prophecy is given and all of Yokai society learns they have only one year left.
