Kyl is confronted by the arrival of a fellow Trill, Syzree Nen, one of the oldest symbiotes in existence. But Nen calls in an old promise in order to gain sanctuary, putting him at odds with Security Chief Scilla. Meanwhile Gop has a strange encounter with the ISC Ambassador. With Nen on the run, Kyl is contacted by Bontali who has her own agenda regarding the fugitive. But that is all put on hold as an anomaly appears at the alien Megastructure...
