The first half of a new mission for a quarterly series of Star Trek Adventures.

Aboard the USS Kintsugi, built with salvage from the battle of Wolf 359, our crew heads out into a Federation still coming to terms with those events. New ships have been rushed out or pulled from mothballs with green crews and officers called back to duty, regardless of record.

The crew deals with another interim Captain and sets up the new Science Department on the ship. When a distress call from a merchant-prospector comes in, the Kintsugi finds itself caught between a Romulan warbird, a black ops Federation ship, and a third and more deadly foe.
