The second half of a mission for a quarterly series of Star Trek Adventures.

Aboard the USS Kintsugi, built with salvage from the battle of Wolf 359, our crew heads out into a Federation still coming to terms with those events. New ships have been rushed out or pulled from mothballs with green crews and officers called back to duty, regardless of record.

The Kintsugi is dispatched to aid in a diplomatic mission, but when the Ambassador falls ill, the captain must step into his place. But the situation becomes more and more complicated as Cardasian interests, potential Maquis threats, and a planetary government who want the Federation out heighten tensions. And then an assassination threatens to ignite the powderkeg.
