Sent to Deep Space Station K7, the Tempest is to assist with the handover of the starbase to the Lyran Empire. While the tasks seem basic-- moving personnel, decommissioning tech-- they're numerous and complicated by resentments brewing among station staff. The appearance of an old friend of questionable repute also threatens operations, but the true threat turns out to be even more challenging as the crew is cut off from the Tempest itself...
