"Rise & Fall PT 1"
Captain Escarra is sent to the Thulsa System to conclude a treaty for dilithium mining rights. Commander Moreno is left in charge of the Tempest which suddenly comes under attack when a mysterious alien sphere appears in orbit and begins manipulating the planet's weather and tectonics. Lt Commander T'Venn is forced to deal with an increasingly strange malady caused by the sphere. Meanwhile, cut off and injured, the Federation and Thulsan delegation must seek out shelter from a blizzard, led by Commander Ch'Villiq, now nearly blinded.
