Antyre strengthens its bond with Luneste, as Cyril's sister Agate comes to be reacquainted with Kamissa. After Martin Sandoreale falls to House Antyre's challenge, his brother Alisdair attempts to lead in his place. Meanwhile, Warwick of House Oake survives war with Kamissa's forces, and tries to continue an alliance with House Sandoreale.
Fates are not inevitable as Doom card mechanics cause reversals of fortune in the end, even as characters believe they succeed.
